ACTION!

Taken at rehearsals to show the olden times!!

Action on stage... Patience singing her song!

Reflection Time!!

Mango Roses has been very interesting as i got to work with 2 broadway professionals, and i didn't realise how lucky i was till 2 weeks in! Mango Roses has allowed to to achieve the characteristic of, "realising and appreciating what we have, and what we do" this being that the Ugandans that took part in Mango Roses did not know how to act or sing, until Kate Chapman and Mary Ivan came along and helped them. They didn't have cars to get to rehearsals but still they found a way of getting there. They did the impossible, creating this show in just 50 hours!!! Mango Roses has helped my to work collaboratively with others, I never really like working with other people, but however Mango Roses has forced me to and I like the change. It has helped me with my communication skills as Mango Roses required a lot of communication between the stage managers, backstage, tech support etc.It also  has helped me become more patient as that is what this musical needed, this being that there was so little time and a lot of work needed to be done so therefore patience was needed. In conclusion CAS in general helps EXPAND my knowledge, experience and characteristics in a good way and i feel good about this, I hope to work with more musicals in the future.

Mango Roses Production

Mango Roses is one of my CAS activities, it involves me moving around props, helping Mr.Thompson with anything that he cant handle alone. So far I have taken down measurements for all of the people who are involved in the musical.
Hassan Ahmed (me) and Rana Hijazi taking Timothy's measurements for his costume.

Also I took a ride with Rana, Naomi, Zara and Monica to Sanyu babies home, were Barbra the manager took us around and allowed us to take videos and pictures which is usually not allowed, this video that we make will be shown at Jazzville and a percent of the money made from the tickets will be given to Sanyu babies home to help with expenses.
Although the drummer was 5 years old,  he was an amazing role model to his younger siblings that he has grown up with. He takes care of them as if they were BLOOD related.
That is it for now, however the musical is going to take place this upcoming weekend, on the 25th, 26th and 27th of october. Please come along and support Mr.Thompson with this amazing musical that he has put together.
